Wow. Really like the opening music. You have a very calming voice to listen to.
Never realized you could put a SMARTboard on wheels. That would have been a perfect idea especially for my former school where tech was not as accessible.
Sorry to hear that the response wasn't as enthusiastic as hoped. That happened at my current school. But with professional development, training school-wide, and natural tinkering on our own, I think most if not all teachers use the SMARTboards in their classrooms. We're fortunate because every class from preK to grade 12 including specialists have one.
How has using the notebook software that goes with SMARTboard go? I have put up my daily schedule, learning strategies, and some lessons using this software. It's very interactive and can reach visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners.
Your students seem to really learn using this tool. Sounded like a great idea inviting teachers to see how easy it is to use and how engaged the students are. I learned a lot from my peers just like you said - 3 will tell 3 others and so on.
Even though you got off to a rough start, it sounds like you are making progress towards your goal. I give you a lot of credit for going ahead with Plan B. It seems like it will be more effective than your original idea. I'm looking forward to hearing how this project continues!
I am the K-6 Technology Facilitator for my elementary school and am working on a Master's Degree in Educational Technology through MSU in Michigan. This is a page in progress, so keep checking back!
